The Greek history is the history of the Greek tribes and civilization, from their appearance until today. It begins somewhere in the Bronze Age with the appearance and the development of the first brilliant Greek civilization, the Mycenaean civilization (1600 B.C - 1100 B.C approximately) that gives new dynamic, due to its spread from the Aegean area to the entire Mediterranean. Thus was shaped the ancient Greek civilization which influenced so much deeply the modern westerner civilization through the Greek Philosophy, the Science, the Art. The presentation of the historical data concerns all the expressions of Greeks’ activities: politics, history, arts, literature, culture, private life, society, economy from the pre-historic era, the ancient world, the Roman period, the Byzantium and the recent history of Greece to modern times. |
