The agro-tourist lodgings constitute a form of resistance in the flattening mass tourism, the tourism without any identity. The agro-tourism gives to the visitor the possibility to enjoy calm vacations in the nature, far from the developed tourism, in a hospitable atmosphere that the nature itself and its people create. The visitor also comes in contact with the traditional way of life of the inhabitants of the villages and becomes familiar with the authentic local cuisine. The number of the traditional lodgings in Greece is continuously increased as there are a lot of hotels and accommodation units with particular characteristics adapted to the natural environment and to the traditional architecture of the Greek countryside. The accommodation in traditional settlements from stone and wood gives another dimension to the vacations and gives to the visitor the possibility to get acquainted with the genuine Greek hospitality in the villages.
