Museums are the places where evidences of the human civilization, material residues, witnesses of the human history as also of the natural world are gathered. There are a lot of different kinds of museums which are, most of the times, characterized according to the type of objects they collect and expose. In Greece there are archaeological, folklore, historical, technology, art museums etc. The objects that are exposed in the museums have various different stories to say and offer to the public the possibility to get familiar with various and different expressions of life and human culture. Moreover, for the achievement of their educational role, as also for their communication with the public, the museums organize special programmes, such as quided tours, educational programmes and other events. |
