Products with the characterization “biological”, have to carry special labelling from some recognized institution (national or from the abroad). The products of biological agriculture, according to the European Legislation, bring special labelling that concerns their biological way of production. The labelling should contain: the name of the enterprise that produces, packs or trades the product and the certification code, the name (logo) of the institution of certification which should be recognized from the responsible authority (Ministry of Agriculture), the indication “product of biological agriculture”, or “product of biological agriculture in transformation”, depending on the level of certification. The Organism of Certification and Supervision of Agricultural Products, with the discreet title AGROCERT is a Legal Person of Private Right of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food that works for the public interest under the supervision of the Minister of Rural Development and Food ([N].2637/98). Its aim is the promotion and the guarantee of quality of agricultural products, the protection of terms that concern their origin and the promotion of friendly to the environment systems of full administration of agricultural and forestal exploitations. Objectives of AGROCERT are the creation and the application of models, directives and specifications of quality of the total of products of the primary sector, based on the development of technology and market in combination with the potential that is developed by the rural policy according to the European standards. Also, there are private organisms recognized from the state, that have the jurisdiction to control in the entire country, a fact that allows the bio cultivator, wherever he is, to choose on his own the Organism that will check him.
